THE WORTH OF A SLED DEPENDS ON MANY FACTORS SUCH AS --- APPEARANCE - CONDITION - MILEAGE - ACCIDENTED - IS THE MOTOR STUCK - TRACK CONDITION - RARE MODEL - STORED OUTSIDE / INSIDE - ORIGINAL - HAVING TRANSFER PAPERS AND SO ON. I CREATED THESE
PAGES TO GIVE BUYERS AND SELLERS A LOOK
THIS IS NOT TO
BE USED AS AN ACCURATE PRICE LIST OF A SLEDS WORTH BUT
JUST REMEMBER
- SOMETIMES ON EBAY - 2 BIDDERS DRIVE A SLED'S PRICE
THIS GUIDE IS
IN NO WAY INTENDED TO TELL YOU THE WORTH OF A SLED.
I DO NOT TAKE
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE YEAR POSTED WITH THE SNOWMOBILE.

HERE IS HOW THIS AD READ ON EBAY. My
father was a snowmobile dealer in the late 60s and early 70s. In
1970, he brought in a new Sno-Coupe. Not an easy sale considering
that one could buy a new car for the price of one of these sleds. Well,
he sold the one and several years ago I found it in the same neighborhood
as the guy dad sold it to. Rumor has it that the farmer who once
owned it used the canopy as a dog house and pooch loved it so much that
he wouldn't part with it. I came up with a red one to replace it
and also a seat that's almost like new in condition with its original embossed
vinyl. I believe that this 1971 was the first year of Sno-Coupe.
These sleds were built on a Polaris Voyager chassis. This one has a JLO
372cc single cylinder engine with electric start. The motor spins
freely with very good compression but like needs the points cleaned.
The sled has reverse with a Borg Warner Transmission. The track is
a 30" wide cleated one as used on the Voyager. The skis are original
with the deep blade wear rods. These sleds never have many miles on them
but are always the star of any show or event. VERY RARE! There
were't many more than 100 of these built in 71 and many haven't lasted
through the years. Please check all photos. I've had it stored indoors
for years with hope of finding time to restore it but alas....too many
toys, too little time. My loss is your gain. Yes it needs
complete restoration. The metal is rusty but solid. Everything
seams operable and the glass work isn't major. Given this sled's
uniqueness and rarity, its well worth the work. I have no interest in crating
and shipping. Local pickup only. I can work with you as to
when pickup happens (I've got the space) but I do want payment right away.
The sled is located in Woodland, WI 53099....a very small town about 40
miles NW of Milwaukee, 30 miles south of
