AS A GUIDE TO SHOW YOU WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SELL OR
BUY A SLED FOR ON EBAY.

WAY UP OVER THE TRUE VALUE BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT IT AND THEN
SOMETIMES A SLED CAN SELL ON EBAY FOR A LOT LESS THAN TRUE VALUE BECAUSE
OF THE TIME OF YEAR IT WAS POSTED OR THE WAY THE PERSON POSTED THE AD.

SOMETIMES - PEOPLE POST THE WRONG YEAR.

HERE IS HOW THIS AD READ ON EBAY.

 1978 Rupp Nitro 440, vintage race or trail snowmobile.  This is a very rare snowmobile.  The last year of the Rupp's (1978), apparently there was only ~200 of these sleds made!  I believe the 78 had a change in rear suspension height, dash, seat, graphics and maybe more?  I bought this sled with another 75 Nitro.  The 75 has been sold.  I have the original owners registration, manual and spare key.  The original owner had oil down the cylinders and had maintained these Rupp's very well.  The hood, windshield, track and motor is awesome.  He did paint the pipes at some point and a few parts here and there.  I basically cleaned up some of the things that he had already touch up... I had to clean the carbs, one had a plugged pilot jet and the other had stuck floats.  The sled now runs very good and is fun to drive.  The drive clutch is a little sticky but getting better.  I pick up my son of the bus today and he enjoyed the high revving, fast ride back to the house.  All the lights, tach, speedo work and the sled is ready for a full restore or 
show as is or just go vintage riding.
