1968 MERCURY 150E - ONLY 400 MADE
David - A friend of mine found this for me & brought it over last night.
Has spark.  120 psi compression.  I washed it all down as it was very dirty.  So I'm drying it in my garage.
I'll clean out the tank, carb etc and maybe by the end of the week I'll see if it runs. It's really in nice shape.

David.....I got the 1968 Mercury 150E running yesterday. Sounds like a chainsaw! lol.
Here are some pictures of it. I have only seen a few of these over the years. Everyone that I have ever seen had a one
piece hood & bellypan that was a pain to remove. This one has a separate hood and bellypan. It looks factory but who
knows. If somebody did it themselves, it sure looks to be done right. 15hp (2) cylinder mercury chainsaw engine. 
This machine was not only very tippy but had major overheating problems with this motor. 
One of the recall retrofits was to add the big circular grate in the hood to increase the airflow.
They ultimately gave up and redesigned the entire sled and came out with the model 220.
The remaining 150 chassis' were then used to make the MERCURY 200 models that came with a Hirth single.
