1971 AUTO SKI SPITFIRE

HI Dave. 
 Here is an Auto Ski sled I just purchased.
Was in a Quonset on a fellows farm south of Winnipeg. 
Fellow tells me it competed in the Winnipeg St Paul race in 1971.
It is a 1971 Auto Ski. It has a 340 Sachs twin with dual Tilotsons.
Seems in good shape but we'll know better tomorrow when I pick it up.

Hi David. 
 
Got it home and starting going over it.  The sled appears to be a 1971 Auto Ski Spitfire.
 The model on the Build tag says S-SPIT. It is a CCW 400 cc with Dual HR carbs. 
Fellow I bought it from tells me  it has been  in the Quonset/barn since 1977.
 Engine spins over nicely but I will probably pull it apart before I try to fire it. 
The hole in the side was required for quick fuel during the race.
 In the 7th picture you can see the filler neck that aligns with that filler hole.
