I
was going thru my photos and as I was researching for info on a
Ski
Zoom (date unknown) I use to own and I came across your interesting site.
I
also used to own a 1972 Ski-Doo Olympic 300cc and a 1995 Skandic 500cc.
Anyhow,
When I was serving in the Canadian Forces I took some shots among other
things of a Polaris Autoboggan in
perfect
working order in a fuel cache called Hiberville in the high Canadian Arctic.
The cache also contained emergency
and
first aid goods, parts, food, and a doom buggy as I recall.
Other
than photos I don't have much about my Ski Zoom. When I sold it,
all went with it including the documentation.
I
found the sled to be highly unstable at higher speeds due to the shorter
stance and a higher mounted engine design,
higher
center of gravity. My Dad had given it to me, I don't know where
he got it from.
I
used my snowmobiles and my quad for one purpose only, ice fishing. Enjoy.
